My Mission

The Spicy Lit Lounge is a space built from my passion for stories, self-made authors, and the power of love on the page.

Like many readers, I find comfort, joy, and escapism within the books I read. But it wasn’t until I stumbled into the world of independently published romance that I truly fell in love with the genre all over again. There’s something incredibly special about discovering those hidden gems to add to my auto-buy author list, the ones written straight from the heart, without a big publisher behind them, just raw talent and passion. I love knowing that every word written in these books is there because it reflects the message the author wants to share with us as readers. 

As someone who has consistently read romance books for over 20 years (and a bit of a book hoarder), I started this shop to do more than just sell books. I wanted to create a space that champions indie romance authors, the writers who are building their own paths, breaking the rules, and telling the kinds of stories that traditional publishing often overlooks. Very quickly, it was clear to me that these are the stories that deserve to be seen and shouted from the rooftops about. 

Whether you’re a reader looking to support indie talent, or an author trying to get your book into the hands of people who genuinely care, you're in the right place.

This shop is personal. Every title is chosen with care. Every author is here because their work deserves to be seen, shared, and celebrated. And every reader who visits is part of a growing community that believes in love stories — especially the ones that might not make it to the front tables of big bookstores (yet).
